Son of Frances Johnson & Reuben Fosbury, was born about 1843 in New York. He married Ophelia who was born about 1846 in New York.

Franklin Fosbury, son of Frances Johnson and Reuben Fosbury, was born about 1844 in New York. He was enumerated census records in 1860, 1870, and 1880 residing in Bainbridge. He married Emma about 1868 in Chenango Co., NY. Emma was born about 1842 in New York.

Reuben Deloss Fosbury 1850 - ?

Reuben Deloss Fosbury, son of Frances Johnson and Reuben Fosbury, was born on 30 Mar 1850 in Bainbridge, Chenango, NY. He was listed as "Dewitt" in the 1850 census and as "Deloss" in 1880. Reuben married Caroline M. Padget about 1875 in Chenango Co., NY. Carrie was born in 1852 in New York and was the daughter of Lewis and Clarissa (Manwarren).

Ebenezer Ralph Johnson (1847) -?

Ebenezer Ralph Johnson, son of "Eben" and Sarah (Johnson) was born about 1847 in Illinois. Eben married Abbie M. Knox, daughter of George and Jerusha (Brown). She was born in New York in about 1854 and was enumerated with her husband and children in 1880 residing in Palymra, Illinois.

2. Cena E. Johnson - born about 1879 in Illinois.

Tabitha Ann Johnson, daughter of Marcus T. Johnson and Alice (Parsons), was born on 7 Nov 1849 in Bainbridge, Chenango, NY. Tabitha was counted in a census in 1860 in Bainbridge, Chenango, NY and in 1870 where she appears to be listed in parents household with daughter Louisa Lyon who is eight months old.

DeForest Johnson 1850-1920

Deforest J. Johnson, son of Harvey and Mary Jane (Wheat), was born on 13 Apr 1850 in Lee County, IL. He removed to Cherokee County, Iowa in 1875 and settled in Pitcher Twp. until 1889. In 1909 he moved to Alta and lived near his son, but returned to Cherokee in March of 1920 but died the following month.

On 24 Dec 1872 in Woosung, Ogle County, Illinois, Deforest married Emma C. Bovey, the oldest of Daniel Bovey and Martha (Brubaker)'s twelve children. Emma was born on 09 Jun 1852 in Lee Co, IL. She died on 3 Sep 1932 in Cherokee, Cherokee, Iowa and was also buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.

In 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 DeForest was listed in the census records as residing in Palmyra, Lee County, Illinois. In 1900 DeForest and his family are living in Cherokee City, Cherokee Co., Iowa, this census indicating that Emma had lost two of her seven children. Son Howard had died in 1877, and Della in 1895.

In 1910 the family was living in Alta, Buena Vista Co., Iowa where their son Chester was a doctor and their daughter Geneva a teacher. In 1920 DeForest's home in Alta consisted only of his wife, his children now married or living on their own. DeForest died this year on the 2nd of April and was laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery.

1. Ina Bell Johnson - born on 6 Aug 1874; married Joseph Onn who was born about 1869 in England. They were the parents of Louise, Alice & DeForest Onn.
2. Howard Daniel Johnson - born on 3 Feb 1877 in Cherokee Co., Iowa and died there that same year.
3. Della E Johnson - born on 27 Sep 1879 in Lee Co., IL; died in 1895 in Cherokee Co., Iowa.
4. Myrtle Estelle Johnson - born on 22 Mar 1882 in Lee Co., IL. Her father's obituary indicate she was living in Waterloo at the time of his death in 1920. She had married Hiram N. Seely, son of Hiram Seely and Henrietta. Hiram was born in Oct 1884 in Iowa.
5. Chester Harvey Johnson - born on 24 Apr 1885 in Cherokee Co., IA. He was a prominent doctor and referred to by all as "Doc."
6. Frank Preston Johnson - born on 21 Jul 1887 in Cherokee Co., IA. He had no children and at the time of his father's death in 1920, he was living in Fargo, North Dakota where he was a newspaper reporter/columnist
7. Geneva Margaret Johnson - born on 14 Jan 1890; died on 20 Jun 1961. She married Jess Walter Wilkinson son of Jacen "Jess" Wilkinson and Anna Belle (Morrissey). Jess was born on 28 May 1890 in Alta, Buena Vista, IA. He died on 31 Jan 1980. They were the parents of Eleanor Margaret and Kathryn Elizabeth Wilkinson. 

Florence R. Johnson, daughter of Harvey, was born on 8 Oct 1851 in Lee County, IL. She was listed with her parents in the 1860 and 1870 census records living in Lee County, Illinois. On 25 Dec 1873, she married (1) Jacob Baker in Ogle Co., Illinois and had a daughter Fronie M. Baker born about 1881.

She married (2) Jackson and the obituary of her brother Deforest, indicated she was living in El Paso, Texas at that time and last name was Jackson.

In 1920 she was listed in the census living in El Paso, Texas in the home of her daughter, Fronie M., wife of Thomas La Rue.

The son of Harvey Johnson & Mary J. (Wheat), he was born on 19 Dec 1855 in Palmyra, Lee, Illinois. He was enumerated in the 1860 and 1870 census records residing in Palmyra, Lee County, Illinois with his parents.

On 01 Nov 1876, he married Ida May Rand, the daughter of Jeremiah Rand and Tryphena (Brown) in Ogle County, Illinois. Ida was born in December of 1858 in Woosung, Ogle Co., Ilinois.

In 1880 Harvey and Ida were living in Palymra, he working as a farmer and their household consisted of their three oldest children (Fred, Grace, Raymond) and cousin Edward Wheat. According to his obituary, in 1883 the family moved to Cherokee Co., Iowa and were enumerated in the state census records in 1885 at which time their youngest child, Pearl, had just been born. Ida's father Jeremiah, was also listed in their household. They remained in Cherokee Co., Iowa until 1899 and were thus enumerated in the 1895 state census when their youngest son DeForest was less than a year old.

In 1899 the family moved to Wadena Co., Minnesota and were living in Wadena in 1900, living next door to the Davidson and Arbuckle families, and their daughter Argine had just been born in February. By 1910 the family was residing in Hartford, Todd Co., Minnesota with five of their younger children, including daughter Merle who was listed as aged five. In 1920 and 1930 the family were enumerated in Barnes County, North Dakota residing in Valley City where Franklin passed away on 20 Sep 1933. He was survived by his widow and children, and laid to rest in Woodbine Cemetery.

1. Fred Johnson - born in Oct 1877 in Lee Co., IL; married Lydia Halvorson in Cooperstown, Griggs Co., ND and were the parents of Audrey, Wendell and Elaine.
2. Grace Johnson - born on 29 Dec 1878 in Ogle Co., IL; died on 28 Feb 1955. She married George F. Holly, son of David Clayton Holly and Callie (Bovey) in about 1901. George was born on 22 Sep 1876 in Lee Co., IL and died on 28 Feb 1955 in Hewitt, Todd Co., MN. He was buried on 03 Mar 1955 in Hewitt Cemetery, Hewitt Co., MN. The were theparents of Rex, Earl, Ford and Hazel Holly.
3. Raymond F. Johnson - born in Dec 1881 in Lee Co., IL; married Mary "Matie" (Nobes) about 1908 in Wadena and were the parents of Wesley and Berith.
4. Pearl Edna Johnson - born on 3 Apr 1884 in Sheridan, Cherokee Co., IA. She died on 11 May 1965. Pearl married Robert Davidson son of William Davidson and Janet Dyer (Arbuckle) on 03 Jan 1902 in Wadena, Wadena Co., MN. Robert was born on 22 Feb 1882 in Minto, Wellington Co., Ontario, Canada. He died on 05 May 1950 in Bottineau, Bottineau, North Dakota and was buried in Wadena City Cemetery, Wadena, Minnesota. They were the parents of Lucille, Vivian, "Fritz" (Kenneth), Harold, "Dick" (Donald), Vernon, Wayne, "Butch" (Roland), Russell, Margaret, Ida, Berince, and Betty Davidson. [See Davidson].
5. Earle Johnson - born about 1886 in Cherokee Co., IA and died at the age of six years.
6. George H. Johnson - born on 27 Sep 1888 in Meriden, Cherokee Co., IA; married Frances and were the parents of Ida, Magdeline, and Raymond.
7. Maude F. Johnson - born on 03 Dec 1890 in Meriden, Cherokee, IA and was listed as Maude F. Aldrich of Valley City, ND in her father's obituary.
8. Deforest L. Johnson - born on 26 Sep 1894 in Meriden, Cherokee Co., IA. He married Agnes J. (Brown) in North Dakota in about 1925 and was the father of Arlie D. and DuWane Johnson. His wife, Agnes, was the daughter of Carl B. Brown and Mabel (Simonson), and was born 15 Sep 1905 in North Dakota. Deforest passed away on 03 Aug 1960 and his widow on 28 Jan 1994 - both were laid to rest at Woodbine Cemetery in Valley City, North Dakota.
9. Howard E. Johnson - born on 16 Jun 1898 in Sheriden, Cherokee, IA; was listed in the Birth Records of Iowa as John E.
10. Fronie Johnson - born in 1900 in Minnesota; was single and residing in the household of her brother DeForest in 1930, but by 1933 was listed as Fronie E. Hoven in her father's obituary.
11. Argine Johnson - born in Feb 1900 in Wadena, Wadena, MN; listed as a daughter in the 1900 census, but a granddaughter in the 1920 census.
12. LeRoy Johnson - born about 1902 in Minnesota and known as Lee.
13. Merle Johnson - born about 1904; married Ed Fonder and resided in Valley City, North Dakota.

Son of Estella Johnson and David Orlando Ingersoll, he was born on 30 Apr 1849 in Oxford, Chenango, NY. He married Lavina Marie Ireland daughter of Stephen Ireland and Betsy (Barr) on 7 Nov 1872 in Afton, Chenango, New York. Lavina was born on 27 Dec 1851 in Oxford, Chenango, NY.

In 1880 the young family is listed in the census records residing in Bainbridge with their two small children Ernest and Lora.

1. Ernest Leon Ingersoll - born on 9 Dec 1875; married Nettie Booth, daughter of Carlos Booth and Lovisa (Bush) on 23 Jun 1896 in Oxford, Chenango, NY. Nettie was born on 21 Apr 1877 in Oxford, Chenango, NY. They were the parents of Edith, Lina Belle, and Leda Mildred Ingersoll.
2. Lora Ingersoll - born on 11 Feb 1877 in Coventry, Chenango, New York. She married (1) Olin D. Easton on 12 Sep 1894;and married (2) Don James Guy on 16 Aug 1903 in Bainbridge, Chenango, NY. Don was born on 9 Feb 1875 in Coventry, Chenango, New York.
3. Lina Belle Ingersoll - born on 31 Jan 1887.

Son of Estella Johnson and David Orlando Ingersoll, he was born on 12 Jul 1850 in Oxford, Chenango, New York and was enumerated there in the census records for the years 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880.

On 22 Apr 1885 he married Eva Tuttle, daughter of Oliver Tuttle and Elizabeth Alma (Saunders), in Windsor, Broome Co., New York. Eva was born on 26 May 1854 in Greene, Chenango Co., New York and died on 09 Apr 1940 in Bainbridge, Chenango, New York.

They were the parents of Ellis LeVerne Ingersoll who was born 02 Jun 1891 in Oxford. He married Gertrude A. Shapeley on 30 Sep 1914, she having been born 17 Oct 1889 and died in April of 1981 in Bainbridge. Ellis died in Bainbridge in May of 1985.
