been their first child to be born in Chatsworth,
Illinois. Their first five children were born in
New York except for their daughter Mary who was
born in New Jersey. William's obituary indicates
he was born on 23 Nov 1870 but he appears in the
1870 census as age three. |

Chatsworth about this year but dies in infancy. |

Mary Neagle, oldest
daughter of John and Ellen who was born in New
Jersey, marries Oscar Braddock on the 10th of
March in Chatsworth. |

Ellen Croty, wife of John,
dies on the 12th of April and was laid to rest at
the St. Patrick's Cemetery there. She was born in
Ireland in about 1834. |

James Neagle, the oldest
son of John and Ellen dies this year - most
likely while the family is still living in
Chatsworth. |
| 1892 |
William Neagle removes to
North Dakota this year. He later marries Clara A.
Danforth in Barnes Co., ND but is said to be
living in Hope, ND at the time of his father's
death in 1908. |

John Neagle dies at the
home of his daughter, Mary Braddock, in Watseka,
Iroquois Co., IL. After his wife's death, he
lived with his children. At this time Thomas was
living in Leavenworth, KS; Mrs. Ellen Knight and
son John Neagle both in Roberts; son William in
Hope, ND; and son Richard in Artesian, SD. |
