| Sabilla,
or "Bell" as she was known, was the
daughter of John and Cynthia (Moore) Harris
and was born in New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas
Co., Ohio on 13 Aug 1852. At the age of
thirteen, the family moved to Naples,
Illinois. She married Civil War veteran,
Oliver Jasper West on 15 Oct 1872 and were
the parents of Bert, Harold, Ida May, Nellie,
Charles, Robert and Benjamin Harrison West. Pictured with Bell is
her great-grandson, Hal Beumer, son of her
granddaughter Marguerite (Robertson) Beumer.
Marguerite is daughter of Bell's daughter
Nellie who was born 17 May 1881 in Yates
Center, Kansas and married John E. Robertson.
Bell passed
away in Highland Twp., Apache Co., Oklahoma
on 29 Sep 1929 and was laid to rest at Navina
Cemetery in Logan Co., Oklahoma. Her husband,
Oliver Jasper West, preceded her in death 05
Apr 1891, at the age of forty-six.
