| Sabilla,
daughter of John and Cynthia (Moore) Harris
and widow of Oliver Jasper West. She was born
in New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas Co., Ohio on
13 Aug 1852 and after moving with her family
to Naples, Illinois after the war in 1865,
she married Oliver who was a Civil War
veteran who had fought in the 28th Illinois
infantry. They were married in Naples on
15 Oct 1872 and were the parents of Bert,
Harold, Ida May, Nellie, Charles, Robert and
Benjamin Harrison West.
Sabilla was
widowed at the age of thirty-eight when their
youngest child, Benjamin, was just two years
of age. Her husband was laid to rest at
Navina Cemetery after his death in 1891, and
her their son "Berite" in 1918.
Sabilla was laid to rest beside them after
her death on 29 Sep 1929.
