Samuel Gipe was born on 03 April
1810 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and
died on 25 Oct 1878 in Plymouth, Marshall
Co., Indiana. He married Martha (Harnley who
was born on 10 March 1813 in Lancaster
County, Pennsylvania and who died on 01 Feb
1871 also in Plymouth.
In 1860, while residing in Ridge
Twp., Van Wert County, Ohio - they were
enumerated with a large family of eleven
children ranging in ages from twenty-one to
one. Their seven year-old Levina, later
married Charles Oscar Pilcher, the son of
Robert J. and Rebecca Comfort (Williams)
Pilcher. They were married in Plymouth on 26
October 1876.
