Lavina Gipe, the daughter of
Samuel and Martha was born in Van Wert
County, Ohio on 15 May 1853. Sometime after
1860, her parents removed to Marshall Co.,
Indiana where she married her husband,
Charles Oscar Pilcher in 1876.
Charles
died 18 Dec 1894, and Lavina then married Mr.
Cochran whom she is pictured with above. His
name and date of death is unknown, but in
1910 she was residing in Riverside,
California listed in that census record as
L.G. Cochran and widowed. Her daughter Ethel
C. Pilcher was residing with her at that
time.
Sometime
after 1910, Lavina married William Taylor.
She died on 16 November 1920 in Los Angeles,
California.
