| John
Albert Fenton (photographed holding his young
daughter Cynthia Lillian) was born about 1864
at Crimble Hall, Bamford, England and
according to the 1900 census came to the
United States 1882. He married Clarissa
Amanda Moore, the daughter of Thomas A. Moore
& Clarissa (Pilcher) in about 1891.
Clarissa appears to be the woman on the left
of John and their oldest child, James Albert,
is standing next to the older woman seated. Letters of John Fenton
to and from the family regarding the Mossman
estate in Berwick Upon Tweed, England still
exist and are now in the possession of P.
Davidson-Peters.
