& Mary Ann (Parker), Fanny was born about
1853 in Charlestown, Indiana. She married William
Goodall who was born in the District of Columbia
in 1852 and was the son of William Richard
Goodall, was an actor who played "The
Drunkard" in P.T. Barnum's first production
of the play and was a friend of Edgar Allen Poe
who enjoyed many of his card games. Fanny
was the mother of William, Naomi, Eva and Edna
Goodall and died in 1942. Her husband William,
who had been a cartoonist for the Chicago Tribune
and had been entertained by the Hearst family,
moved to San Francisco where he died in 1952.
