THE ULSTER & DELAWARE DEPPOT
Oneonta, Otsego Co., New York (circa 1905)

Originally established in 1866 as the Rondout and Oswego, the Ulster & Delaware Railroad ran above the village of Bloomville. William Hendry Hickok was a conductor for the railroad his entire adult life. While boarding with the William Peters' family, he met daughter Sarah who was born in 1872 and they were married in Bloomville on 22 Apr 1896.

After her father's death and when the U & D line was extended beyond Bloomville to its ultimate terminus in Oneonta, NY, William, his wife Sarah, and their child Hannah Rosella Hickok moved to Oneonta.
