"Nelson" and Mary "Catherine"
(Deale), Sarah was born in Illinois on 17 Jul
1854. She married Ryan Richard Smith, son of
Samuel & Cornelia (Buck) on 08 Mar 1874 in
Smithton, Pettis Co., Missouri. Her sister,
Harriet Dulaban, married Ryan's brother Roland. Prior to their
marriages, the sisters resided in Hancock Co.,
Illinois in 1860 where they were
enumerated with their parents in Sonora Township
in June.
Sarah
and Ryan became the parents of Eddie, Ada, Myrtle
and Norman Smith. They both died young, Sarah at
age forty-one years of age on 11 April 1896, and
her husband Ryan died two months and 18 days
later on the 29th of June leaving Norman to be
raised by their eldest son Eddie.
