The son of Albro B. and
Eunice (Short) Danforth, Robert was born 02
Nov 1893. His father, who was born in Essex
Co., Vermont, patented land in Barnes Co.,
North Dakota in 1895, but in 1907 went to
Taber, Alberta to buy land and there built a
house and barn. His sons George and Harry
took up homestaeds in 1907 & in 1912 sons
Everett and Robert took up their own
homesteads near the Montana border.
In
1913 Robert married Avis Sherburne, the
daughter of Wilfred Charles & Frances Ann
(Owen). They became the parents of Erma, Guy,
Owen, Earl, and a daughter who died in
infancy.
Robert
passed away on 16 Oct 1979 in Black Diamond,
Alberta and his wife Avis on 07 Mar 1975 and
both were laid to rest at Foothills Cemetery.
