REGIMENTAL FLAG OF THE KY 55TH

Often referred to as the "Bloody fifty-fifth" it was organized in November of 1864 and lost a total of seven enlisted men who were killed and mortally wounded, two officers and twenty-nine enlisted men by disease.

According to the legend printed on the base drum - Haley's Coronet Band - 55th KY Vol Infantry. Unknown if the band members actually "mounted up" and served with the regiment or were merely used for recruiting.
