the depression hit and their youngest daughter
was about nine years old, Robert Davidson gave up
farming and went into the meat business in
Luverne and Hannaford, as did his sons Harold,
Dick, Bill, and Butch (Roland). |

Davidson rents a farm with a lovely big house on
it, plants his first crop and begins raising
cattle for his father and brothers who had left
ranching during the depression and became
butchers in a neighboring town. |
