Cora (Harris)
Piersall
1863-1898
Daughter of John W. & Cinthia (Moore) |
| Known as "Pet" by
her family, Cora was born in Tuscarawas
Co., Ohio on 13 Feb 1863 and was the
youngest daughter of John and Cinthia. In
1881 she married Victor Horton and had
one son, Chalmers Horton in 1882. At the
end of 1886, she married John A. Vincent
who was born in Ohio in 1859 but their
marriage ended in divorce after the birth
of their two children Jessie Mae and
Arthur Cicero. John married Maggie Ann
Crockett in 1897 and Cora married George
L. Piersall in about who was born in
Indiana in December of 1867 and they were
the parents of two daughters, Georgia and
Gladys. Cora died at the age of 35 on 15
Apr 1898. |

| Sabilla (Harris)
& Oliver Jasper West |
| Sabilla Harris was born in
New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, Ohio
on 13 Aug 1852 and was the daughter of
John Harris and Cynthia (Moore). She
married Oliver Jasper West on 15 Oct 1872
in Naples, Scott Co., Illinois. Oliver
was born 13 Feb 1845 in Illinois and is
thought to be the son of James Oliver
West and Jane Johnston of Kentucky.
Sabilla and Oliver were the parents of
six children: Herbert, Ida Mae, Nellie,
Charles, Robert, and Benjamin West.
Oliver died on 05 Apr 1891 in Guthrie,
Oklahoma and "Bell" on 29 Sep
1929 in Apache, Oklahoma. |

Herbert A. West
Son of Sabilla (Harris) & Oliver West |
| "Bertie" was born
on 01 Apr 1875 in Naples, Scott Co.,
Illinois and was the eldest of Sabilla
and Oliver's children. He married Maude
Duke in about 1899, but later divorced
after the birth of their sons Glenn and
Harold. Herbert died Gutherie, Oklahoma
in October of 1918 at the age of
forty-three. |
