| John Wesley Daily,
son of Jacob Daily and Jane (Beckett),
was born in Adams Co., Illinois on April
8th. His first wife, Selina Irene
McKinley was born 17 Oct 1858 and passed
away on 05 Oct 1891. She was the mother
of Gertrude, William H., and Lulu, Clyde
R., John W., and Daisy Belle. He
married Mrs. Electa Irene Clark Berger on
13 Feb 1893, she having been the wife of
William Berger and mother of Mamie,
Minnie, and William at the time. Irene
was a twin, her brother dying only a few
hours after they were born on 22 Oct
1862. Irene, as she was known, was the
daughter of A. Judson and Polly Ann
(Edwards) Clark. She died on 19 Aug 1953.
Together John and Irene had five
children: Gladys (died in her infancy),
Juanita, twins sons Lloyd and Floyd, and
Margarite Daily. [Obituary]

| William H. Daily
was born near Carthage, Illinois and was
son of John W. Daily and Selina Irene
(McKinley). An inventor who
had gone to Tucson, Arizona in 1899 to
work with his uncle, Judge W.H. Barnes
and attend the University of Arizona, had
formed a copper ore company in Pima
county known as the Daily Mines.
While
on business in Jamestown, New York,
promoting one of his inventions, he died
suddenly of heart trouble. [Obituary]

| Born on 27 August
1899 near Carthage, Lloyd was the son of
John W. and Irene (Clark) Daily, and twin
of Floyd. He was married to Bernice (Mc
Millen), daughter of Edward and Katie
Pitt McMillen on 12 June 1926 in Peoria,
Illinois. They resided in Carthage and
were the parents of James, and
grandparents of Jamie and Jon Daily. Lloyd
died in Quincy on August 28th, 1964. His
widow Bernice was born in Ferris,
Illinois on 09 Mar 1904 and was a teacher
for 45 years. She passed away on 03 Dec
1977 in Carthage.
