WILLIAM
PETERS
1823-1869 |
| The relationship of this
particular William Peters to the Blakely
family is not known. According to his age
at death, he would have been born 19 May
1823. A stone of his wife Sarah is also
in the Blakely Cemetery and indicates she
died in June of 1875 at the age of 44
years 3 months and 24 days. According to the
Glossary of Victorian Symbolism, the hand
pointing upward symbolizes the reward of
the righteous, confirmation of life after
death and/or Heavenly reward, ascension
to heaven.
