| The son of Harvey E. Johnson
and Mary Jane (Wheat), Franklin Fremont
Johnson was born in Palmyra, Lee Co.,
Illinois. He married Ida May, daughter of
Jeremiah Rand and Tryphena (Shepard) in
Ogle Co., Illinois and while residing in
that state, the first three of their
thirteen children were born. By 1884,
when their daughter Pearl was born, they
were then residing in Cherokee Co., Iowa
where they remained until at least 1895
thereafter removing to Wadena Co.,
Minnesota. Sometime between 1900 and
1910, Frank and Ida moved to Valley City,
Barnes Co., North Dakota where they lived
the remainder of their lives. |

Johnson and Ida May (Rand), DeForest was
born in Meriden, Cherokee Co., Iowa on 26
Apr 1894. He was married to Agnes who was
the daughter of Carl B. Brown and Mabel
(Simonson) who was born in North Dakota
on 15 Sep 1905. DeForest died on 03 Aug
1960, and his widow Agnes on 28 Jan 1994. |

Arlie passed away on 10 Nov 2002 at the
age of seventy-six years, six months and
four days. |
