William was born in Chatsworth, Livingston Co., Illinois, and was the son of Irish imigrants, John Neagle and Ellen Croty. He and Clara were the parents of eight children, one boy and seven girls, six of which lived to adulthood. When William passed away in 1925, their youngest child was but eight years old. - In the mid thirties, Clara joined her daughter Connie and son-in-law, V.W. Davidson in Arizona where they lived and worked at the dams eventually buying a small ranch in the agricultural area of Peoria, northwest of Phoenix. - She passed away on the 8th of December 1959.

V.W. Davidson Headstone (1910-1969)

Born in Luverne, Barnes Co., North Dakota, Vernon was the son of Robert and Pearl (Johnson) who were the parents of fourteen children. He married C. Constance Neagle, the daughter of William and Clara (Danforth) in 1934, he and Connie having been neighbors and attended the same school and social functions.

After the dust bowl produced two years of failed crops, Vernon and Connie auctioned everything off at their ranch and headed to Phoenix, Arizona where Connie's sister Ruth had gone earlier. Vernon began working on the Arizona dams and bought a filling station on the northwest edge of town. They later sold it and moved to Peoria which was then a small agricultural town. Vernon obtained his contractor's license and contracted in Phoenix for many years. - He and Connie were the parents of three children, LaVerna, Victor, and Daryl.

M. Jeanette (Lane) Headstone 1942-1999

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on 31 Oct 1942, Jeanette was the only child of Clarence Lane and Theresa (Laratta). At about age eight, her parents divorced and her mother married Virgil Baugh who moved the family to Phoenix, Arizona when Jeanette was about fourteen. There she met Vic Davidson, son of Vernon and Connie, on a blind date at the Arizona State Fair and in 1959 they married. Together they had three children, their youngest Darlene, passing a few hours after her birth.

Jeanette loved the outdoors, wild life, fishing, hunting, and was a lover of literature and history. She wrote poetry, kept the business books, and was later a nurses assistant and child care provider. She was a tender soul, compassionate and generous with her time and affection ... and passed away far too early on 04 Nov 1999, leaving many to mourn the sudden loss. My mother, my editor, my friend - forever missed and dearly loved.
