| The daughter of Edward
"Ned" Tisdale and Priscilla
(Hurley), she was born in Tennessee on 28
Jul 1819. She married William Anderson
Burkhead, son of Leven and Martha
(Dickerson) on 13 Dec 1839 in McNairy
Co., Tennessee. They were the parents of
Paralee Jane, wife of Aquilla Simmons;
Cornelia Caroline; Eli Edward who married
Henrietta Allen; and Priscilla who was
the wife of M. "Greenbury"

| ELI EDWARD BURKHEAD |
| The son of Chestine (Tisdale)
and Willam Anderson Burkhead, Eli was
born in 1850, and enumerated in that
census year as two months old. He resided
with his widowed mother and in 1885, he
married Henrietta Allen, the daughter of
William and Mary Ann and had one son,
Anderson Burkhead. Eli died two years
after the birth of their son in 1889. His
widow Henrietta then married Richard Clem
Tutt on 13 May 1890. She died in Red
River Co., TX on 23 Sep 1917. |

| The son of Eli Burkhead and
Henrietta Allen, Anderson was born as
indicated here on 06 Jan 1887 and died at
the age of twenty-three years, ten months
and twenty-seven days on 03 Dec 1910. |

WEST |
| The Daughter of Chestine
(Tisdale) and Willam Anderson Burkhead,
Priscilla was born on 11 Mar 1856 in
Tennessee. she married Matthew
"Greenbury" West whose name
appears beside hers on this stone. He was
the son of John D. and Comfort and was
born in Mississippi on 25 Aug 1848, and
died in Red River Co., Texas on 01 Feb
1933. According to the 1900 census
records, Priscilla and M.G. were married
in about 1874 but had no children.
Priscilla died on 16 Jul 1932. |

| MARY VIRGINIA WRIGHT |
| The daughter of Wilson
Wright and Melissa Jane (Holloway), Mary
was born in Panola Co., Texas. It is
believed she was married at the age of
19, in 1872, to Matt Smith who was the
son of William and Elizabeth (Pritchett).
She had by him two children (Lillie J.
& Thomas R.), but by 1880 was the
wife of Jesse C. West, brother of Matthew
"Greenbury" the husband of
Priscilla (Burkead) - and sons of John D.
and Comfort West. Mary and Jesse were the
parents of Bailey, Altha, Geraldine, and
Ila. By 1900 Mary was widowed, and in
1910 was residing in Bowie Co., Texas
with her youngest daughter Ila. Mary died
in Red River Co., Texas at the age of
seventy-five years, four months and
twenty-two days.
