Bob Breeden, as noted above, is son of Ruben Breeden and Amorett (Wait). He was born in Tiffin, St. Clair Co., Missouri in 1878. He moved to Fort Bend, Texas where he married Stella Ann Barton but not long afterwards were living on the lands of the Chickasaw Nation in that part of Oklahoma which was Indian Territory.

While in Oklahoma they had three children - Sarah, William, and Orville but his young wife Stella died before the age of twenty-five on 22 Feb 1906.

After Stella's death, Robert H. "Bob" Breeden moved to Montana and there he lived the remainder of his life. He died in Blaine Co., Montana in 1945, and at that time was married to his second wife Grace.

Although he lived and kept his home in Montana, Bob farmed in Eastern Oregon where this photo was taken near Pendleton, located in county of Umatilla.
