| Lucille Belle
Breeden, the daughter of Ruben & Amorett
(Wait), was born in Tiffin, St. Clair Co.,
Missouri on 28 Mar 1880. She married John Barton,
son of William and Sarah (Fye) who was born 28
Aug 1868. His sister Stella, who was born 18 Apr
1881, married Lucille's brother Robert in 1898. In 1900, Lucille and John
were living in Otho, Webster Co., Iowa where John
had lived as a child. While residing here, their
son William Reuben was born on the 24th of Apr
1902. Although they lived in Minnesota, Iowa, and
Missouri, the couple was enumerated in the 1910
and 1920 in Pennington Co., South Dakota census
records.
The mother of
William, Alva, Arvella, Myrtle, Lucille, and
Francis, Lucille (Breeden) Barton died on 21 Mar
1931 in Wall, Penningtson Co., South Dakota. Her
husband, who was a farmer and sawmill laborer
died at the age of eighty-seven on 16 May 1956 in
Rapid City, Pennington Co., South Dakota.
