Jean
Arbuckle - daughter of Robert, was born
23 July 1847 in Carmunnock, Scotland. She married
in Canada about 1862-1863, William Alexander
Walker [ View photo of Wm ] son of George (born in
Ireland between 1820-1823) and Margaret Amelia
O'Daly/Daly who was the daughter of a British
Army officer who was born between 1820-1822 in
Calcutta, India. [ View photo of Jean with
young son ].
Jeans'
husband William was born 19 Mar 1843 in Kingston,
Ontario, Canada where family tradition holds that
he was at one time the editor of Kingston Daily
News, but has not yet been proven. The Walkers
moved to the U.S. in about 1867, moving first to
Missouri, then to Iowa, and were in Minnesota by
about 1877 where they ran a boarding house for
teachers in Staples.
By
time their youngest child was born in the summer
of 1891, the Walkers were living in the Village
of Bemidji where William was a farmer and later
"watchman at a public building." They
lived for about seven years in an apartment above
the train depot in Bemidji. [ View photo of Depot ].
Jeannie
died in 1907. William was living with his
daughter Caroline Hurley in Seattle, WA when the
1920 census was taken. He passed away on 6 Mar
1930 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji, MN.

A. Walker - born abt 1870 in Missouri and
was known as Millie. She married Phillip
Barnahart at the age of 16. They were the
parents of: Pearl, Cecile, Merle, George,
Irene, Elsie, Calvin "Jack",
and Gertrude. They Lived in Lynden,
Washington and Margaret was listed as
deceased daughter of Jennie Aburckle
Walker in Peter Arbuckle's Probate
Records with her children listed as: Mrs.

married Thomas J. HATTEN. He was born 7
May 1850 and had been the father of four
children by his first wife Sarah Alley.
They lived in Jamestown, ND and Caldwell,
ID and were the parents of Beatrice, Tom
Walker and Rex. |

lived in Saskatchewan, Canada and had a

Alma Walker (twin of Chester) - born 22
Mar 1876 in Garner, Hancock, IA.
She married (1) Edward Ignatias HURLEY
who was born in Woolich, England and were
the parents of Catherine Jeanne and
Caroline Margaret Ann. After her divorce,
she married (2) Jack PARKSTON and died on
9 Jan 1969 in Los Altos, California. |

(MINNICH) in 1917 and were the parents of
Ellen Jane who died in her infancy in
Portland OR; Olive Lorraine; William
Charles; and Donald Rex. William H.
Walker died in 1969 at the age of 89 in
California. |

Charlotte
I. Walker - born 21 Aug 1881 in
Bluffton, Otter Tail, MN; died 28 Oct
1906 in Beltrami Co., MN. She
married J.L. SUTHERLAND and had one
daughter, Ruth Mildred who was born
January 31, 1905 in Bemidji. It is said
that Charlotte was expecting another
child when she fell from a ladder and
later died of what was officially stated
as "Inflamation of the
Stomach." |

Walker - born 16 Aug 1883 in Minnesota
and died in February of 1971 in
Minneapolis. She married Michael A.
DOWNS who worked as a
"switchman" for the Minnesota
and International Railroad. They were the
parents of Philip and Kathleen. |

Ione Walker - born 22 Feb 1889 in
Otter Tail, Minnesota. She married
William LEONARD and were the parents of
Rowene & William. They resided in
Washingston state where Edith died on 19
March 1958. |

Ruth
Irene Walker - born Jun 1891 in
Minnesota. She married on 15 July
1914 in Beltrami Co., MN Burr
TODD. They lived in Auburn, WA and
did not have children. Ruth died 5 April

Gert, and Edythe Arbuckle.
William passed away on 09 May
1966.

"Ida" May Arbuckle -
born 20 Aug 1876 in Harriston,
Ontario, Canada; married John J.
Fryfogle on 11 July 1906. The
surname of Fryfogle was shortened
to Fry. He passed away on 01 July
1946, and Ida in March of 1966.
They were the parents of Clayton,
Grace, Harry, and Vera Fry.

Janet Dyer Arbuckle - daughter of Robert, was
born in Carmunnock in 1851 and died in Bottineau,
Minnesota. She was the wife of William
Davidson who was born in Aberlemno, Scotland in
1845 and was the son of James Davidson and Mary
Smith and is listed in the 1851
Census for
Aberlemno.
Janet
and William moved from Ontario, Canada with their
children in 1882 and settled in Wadena county,
Minnesota where they were enumerated in the 1900 Wadena County Minnesota
Federal Census. - William and Janet
remained in the Wadena area and raised a family
of ten children - the younger ones being Ella,
Mabel, Edna and Charles. - Eldest son Alexander
died in Wadena in 1905; son William married as
his first wife, Elizabeth Moodie whose
descendants now reside in California; daughter
Jane appears to have died before 1885; Margaret
married Joseph BLAHA and they lived in Wadena the
remainder of the lives and were the parents of
seven known children; nothing further is known of
Mary Christine who was born in 1880; son Robert
married Pearl (Johnson) and removed from Wadena
in 1905 and were the parents of fourteen children
- one set of twins; daughter Ella married Marion
Isherwood in Wadena in 1906; nothing has been
learned of daughters Mabel and Edna; and son
Charles had left Wadena but was buried in Wadena City Cemetery along with his parents. (See

Mary
Arbuckle - daughter of Robert (sister of
Janet who married William Davidson), was born in
1852 in Carmunnock, Lanark, Scotland and died in
Lynden, Whatcom, Washington. She was the
wife of Edwin M. Philo whom she married on 21 Mar
1883 in Wadena, MN. Edwin was the son of
Charles Philo and Hannah Baldon.
After
marrying Edwin, they moved to Washington in 1886
and settled in Lynden where they were listed in
the 1900 and 1910 census records of
Whatcom County. At the time of her death, Mary
was survied by son Charles of Lynden, brother
John Arbuckle, sister Agnes Hinckly (both of
Lynden) and two brothers in the east. She was
buried in Lynden Cemetery.

Daniel McNiven Arbuckle - son of Robert, he was
born 11 Aug 1855 in Canada. He married
Harriet Chapman, daughter of Irish emigrants
Benjamin and Mary who were living in Wisconsin at
the time Harriet was born.
Daniel,
Harriet, Ray, Molly and Floyd all moved up to
Brock, Saskatchewan where they homesteaded. Ray,
not liking Saskatchewan, moved to Washington
state. He settled there, married and had a
daughter. Molly was married in Saskatchewan and
moved to Richlea, Saskatchewan. Floyd lied about
his age and joined the WWI war effort
coming home with tuberculosis and meeting his
first wife, Nettie Leigh Thompson at a hospital
for tuberculosis patients. His parents appear to
have remained in Brock.
Harriet
died in SK and Daniel died 07 Jun 1927 while
visiting Ray in Whatcom Co., Washington.

Agnes
Arbuckle - daughter of Robert, born in
Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1860 and came with
her family to the U.S. when she was nine years
old and they settled in Bluffton, Otter Tail
County, Minnesota.
She
married Charles Crabtree and after his death, she
married (2) Albert Hinckley and afterwards, she
and her husband went to Lynden, Washington. She
died at the home of her son Edgar.

Bergman. John was the county assessor in
Sentinel Butte North Dakota where they had a
house near the river which had a dirt or sod
roof. - The spent their later years in Washington
state where their descendants still live. |
