Jean Arbuckle - daughter of Robert, was born 23 July 1847 in Carmunnock, Scotland. She married in Canada about 1862-1863, William Alexander Walker [ View photo of Wm ] son of George (born in Ireland between 1820-1823) and Margaret Amelia O'Daly/Daly who was the daughter of a British Army officer who was born between 1820-1822 in Calcutta, India. [ View photo of Jean with young son ]. 

Jeans' husband William was born 19 Mar 1843 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada where family tradition holds that he was at one time the editor of Kingston Daily News, but has not yet been proven. The Walkers moved to the U.S. in about 1867, moving first to Missouri, then to Iowa, and were in Minnesota by about 1877 where they ran a boarding house for teachers in Staples.

By time their youngest child was born in the summer of 1891, the Walkers were living in the Village of Bemidji where William was a farmer and later "watchman at a public building." They lived for about seven years in an apartment above the train depot in Bemidji. [ View photo of Depot ].

Jeannie died in 1907. William was living with his daughter Caroline Hurley in Seattle, WA when the 1920 census was taken. He passed away on 6 Mar 1930 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji, MN.

George Alexander Arbuckle 1865-1932

 George Alexander Walker - born 27 Nov 1865 in Kingston, Frontenac Co., Ontario, Canada; died 7 Sep 1932 in the Northern Pacific Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  He married Georgianna (BOSS), daughter of Andrew Jackson Boss and Zilpha M. (Shipman) who was born in Michigan on 7 Jun 1837. They were the parents of: Elsie, wife of Ralph Everest; Nellie; William; George; Frederick; Osborn; and Evadne.

 Margaret A. Walker - born abt 1870 in Missouri and was known as Millie. She married Phillip Barnahart at the age of 16. They were the parents of: Pearl, Cecile, Merle, George, Irene, Elsie, Calvin "Jack", and Gertrude. They Lived in Lynden, Washington and Margaret was listed as deceased daughter of Jennie Aburckle Walker in Peter Arbuckle's Probate Records with her children listed as: Mrs. Pearl Moore, Cecile Barnhart Lindseth, Merle Barnhart, George E. Barnhart, irene Barnhart Larsen, Elsie Barnhart Carlson, Calvin L. Barnhart, and Gertrude Barnhart Barker.

Mary Emma Walker - Born 1872

 Mary Emma Walker - born Mar 1872 in Missouri and married Thomas J. HATTEN. He was born 7 May 1850 and had been the father of four children by his first wife Sarah Alley. They lived in Jamestown, ND and Caldwell, ID and were the parents of Beatrice, Tom Walker and Rex.

 Annie J. Walker - born about 1874 in Missouri.  She married O. UPPER and lived in Saskatchewan, Canada and had a son George.

Caroline Alma Walker 1876-1969

 Caroline Alma Walker (twin of Chester) - born 22 Mar 1876 in Garner, Hancock, IA.  She married (1) Edward Ignatias HURLEY who was born in Woolich, England and were the parents of Catherine Jeanne and Caroline Margaret Ann. After her divorce, she married (2) Jack PARKSTON and died on 9 Jan 1969 in Los Altos, California.

 Chester A. Walker (twin of Caroline) - born 22 Mar 1876 in Garner, Hancock, IA.   Lived with the Uppers after his parents died; Never Married.

Olive Maud Walker 1878-1980

 Olive Maud Walker - born  5 Feb 1878 in Bluffton, Otter Tail, MN.  She married on 24 Jun 1902 in Beltrami Co., MN Edward E. KIRWIN. Lived in Renton, Washington where they raised Ruth Sutherland (Charlotte Walker's daughter). Olive died in April 1980 in Seattle.

William Henry Walker 1879-1969

 William Henry Walker - born 31 Oct 1879 in OtterTail, MN.  He married Hazel (MINNICH) in 1917 and were the parents of Ellen Jane who died in her infancy in Portland OR; Olive Lorraine; William Charles; and Donald Rex. William H. Walker died in 1969 at the age of 89 in California.

Charlotte Walker 1881-1906

 Charlotte I. Walker - born  21 Aug 1881 in Bluffton, Otter Tail, MN; died 28 Oct 1906 in Beltrami Co., MN.  She married J.L. SUTHERLAND and had one daughter, Ruth Mildred who was born January 31, 1905 in Bemidji. It is said that Charlotte was expecting another child when she fell from a ladder and later died of what was officially stated as "Inflamation of the Stomach."

Kathleen Walker 1883-1971

 Kathleen Walker - born 16 Aug 1883 in Minnesota and died in February of 1971 in Minneapolis.  She married Michael A. DOWNS who worked as a "switchman" for the Minnesota and International Railroad. They were the parents of Philip and Kathleen.

Edith Ione Walker 1889-1958

 Edith Ione Walker - born  22 Feb 1889 in Otter Tail, Minnesota. She married William LEONARD and were the parents of Rowene & William. They resided in Washingston state where Edith died on 19 March 1958.

Ruth Irene Walker 1891-1956

 Ruth Irene Walker - born Jun 1891 in Minnesota.  She married on 15 July 1914 in Beltrami Co., MN Burr TODD. They lived in Auburn, WA and did not have children. Ruth died 5 April 1956.
 
 
William Arbuckle - son of Robert, was born 2 May 1849 in Carmunnock, Scotland and married on 6 Oct 1871 in Harriston, Wellington, Ontario, Canada Ellen Bannerman.

  1. Robert Arbuckle - born 14 Jul 1872 in Harriston, Wellington, Ontario, Canada; married Jessie Hamilton, daughter of Hugh and Elizabeth (MacTavish) on 21 Feb 1906 and are the parents of Grace, Alice, Belle, Bill, and Margaret Arbuckle. Robert died 06 Feb 1967 in Wingham, Ontario.
  2. William John Arbuckle - born 12 Sep 1874 in Harriston, Ontario, Canada; married Margaret Robertson, the daughter of David and mary (McKenzie) in 1910, she having been born 06 Aug 1875 and passed away 20 Dec 1943. They were the parents of Daniel, David, Robert, Gert, and Edythe Arbuckle. William passed away on 09 May 1966.
  3. Lydia "Ida" May Arbuckle - born 20 Aug 1876 in Harriston, Ontario, Canada; married John J. Fryfogle on 11 July 1906. The surname of Fryfogle was shortened to Fry. He passed away on 01 July 1946, and Ida in March of 1966. They were the parents of Clayton, Grace, Harry, and Vera Fry.
  4. Daniel Alexander Arbuckle - born 25 Aug 1878 in Harriston, Ontario, Canada; died 01 Jan 1890.
 

Janet Dyer Arbuckle - daughter of Robert, was born in Carmunnock in 1851 and died in Bottineau, Minnesota.  She was the wife of William Davidson who was born in Aberlemno, Scotland in 1845 and was the son of James Davidson and Mary Smith and is listed in the 1851 Census for Aberlemno.

Janet and William moved from Ontario, Canada with their children in 1882 and settled in Wadena county, Minnesota where they were enumerated in the 1900 Wadena County Minnesota Federal Census.  - William and Janet remained in the Wadena area and raised a family of ten children - the younger ones being Ella, Mabel, Edna and Charles. - Eldest son Alexander died in Wadena in 1905; son William married as his first wife, Elizabeth Moodie whose descendants now reside in California; daughter Jane appears to have died before 1885; Margaret married Joseph BLAHA and they lived in Wadena the remainder of the lives and were the parents of seven known children; nothing further is known of Mary Christine who was born in 1880; son Robert married Pearl (Johnson) and removed from Wadena in 1905 and were the parents of fourteen children - one set of twins; daughter Ella married Marion Isherwood in Wadena in 1906; nothing has been learned of daughters Mabel and Edna; and son Charles had left Wadena but was buried in Wadena City Cemetery along with his parents. 3. Jane Davidson - born 29 Sep 1876 in Minto, Ontario, Canada.
4. Margaret Jane Davidson - born 26 Jan 1878 in Minto, Ontario, Canada. Wife of Joseph J. Blaha; buried in Wadena City Cemetery.
5. Mary Davidson - born Mar 1880 in Ontario, Canada. Living with her family at age 20, single; listed in the 1900 census for Wadena Co., MN.
6. Robert Davidson - born 22 Feb 1882 in Minto, Wellington, Ontario, Canada; died 5 May 1950 in Bottineau, Bottineau County, North Dakota; buried in Wadena City Cemetery, Minnesota.  Was the husband of Pearl Edna Johnson.
7. Ella M. Davidson - born Mar 1884 in Wadena, Wadena, MN and was the wife of Marion Isherwood.
8. Mabel Davidson - born Sep 1886 in Wadena, Wadena, MN.
9. Edna Davidson - born Nov 1889 in Wadena, Wadena, MN.
10. Charles E. Davidson - born 4 Mar 1893 in Wadena, Wadena, MN; died 7 Jun 1952 in Wilmar, Kandiyohi, MN. Listed on the 1900 Wadena county Census, Wadena township.
 

Mary Arbuckle - daughter of Robert (sister of Janet who married William Davidson), was born in 1852 in Carmunnock, Lanark, Scotland and died in Lynden, Whatcom, Washington.  She was the wife of Edwin M. Philo whom she married on 21 Mar 1883 in Wadena, MN.  Edwin was the son of Charles Philo and Hannah Baldon. 

After marrying Edwin, they moved to Washington in 1886 and settled in Lynden where they were listed in the 1900 and 1910 census records of Whatcom County. At the time of her death, Mary was survied by son Charles of Lynden, brother John Arbuckle, sister Agnes Hinckly (both of Lynden) and two brothers in the east. She was buried in Lynden Cemetery.

  1. Charles D. Philo - born 25 Aug 1884 in MN; died 22 Dec 1968 in Lynden, Whatcom, WA. He married on 23 Jun 1919 in Lynden, Whatcom, WA Lena M. Spearin.
 

Daniel McNiven Arbuckle - son of Robert, he was born 11 Aug 1855 in Canada.  He married Harriet Chapman, daughter of Irish emigrants Benjamin and Mary who were living in Wisconsin at the time Harriet was born.

Daniel, Harriet, Ray, Molly and Floyd all moved up to Brock, Saskatchewan where they homesteaded. Ray, not liking Saskatchewan, moved to Washington state. He settled there, married and had a daughter. Molly was married in Saskatchewan and moved to Richlea, Saskatchewan. Floyd lied about his age and joined the WWI war effort – coming home with tuberculosis and meeting his first wife, Nettie Leigh Thompson at a hospital for tuberculosis patients. His parents appear to have remained in Brock.

Harriet died in SK and Daniel died 07 Jun 1927 while visiting Ray in Whatcom Co., Washington.

  1. Mary Esther "Mollie" Arbuckle who was born 30 May 1888 in Richwood, Becker Co., Minnesota and married Alexander McKinnon Banting.
  2. Raymond Cecil  Arbuckle who was born 24 Sep 1892 in Richwood, Becker Co., Minnesota and may have died in July of 1967 in Granite Falls, WA. 
  3. Floyd Walter Arbuckle who was born 7 Mar 1902 in Deer Creek, Otter Tail Co., Minnesota.  He married Nettie Leigh Thompson and had Ray and Effie. 
 

Agnes Arbuckle - daughter of Robert, born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1860 and came with her family to the U.S. when she was nine years old and they settled in Bluffton, Otter Tail County, Minnesota.

She married Charles Crabtree and after his death, she married (2) Albert Hinckley and afterwards, she and her husband went to Lynden, Washington. She died at the home of her son Edgar.

5. Charles Edward Crabtree - born 2 Jul 1893 in Lynden, Whatcom, WA; died 10 Nov 1958 in Lynden, Whatcom, WA.

1. Audrey Mary Hinckley - born 1904 in Lynden, Whatcom, WA; died 1920 in Lynden, WA. Audrey died while in high school. 
 
Andrew Arbuckle - son of Robert, born in Canada in 1867 and married Mina Soule, the daughter of Charles and Emily (Woodruff), formerly of New York. Their children were: Mildred  who was born in August of 1893 and son Charles who was born in May of 1897.
 
John Alexander Arbuckle - son of Robert, born in Minto, Canada in 1874 and died 30 Oct 1934 in Glacier, Washington. He married Freda Adelaide Bergman who was the daughter of John and Anna Bergman.  John was the county assessor in Sentinel Butte North Dakota where they had a house near the river which had a dirt or sod roof. - The spent their later years in Washington state where their descendants still live.
