Note: Included are the families listed before and after the Short residence. Unfortunately, no dates of birth, age or place of birth are given. It should also be noted that although Matilda's husband Martin died at Andersonville Prison in 1864 after being captured by the Confederates at Brice's Crossroads, his name is listed in this census, and their daughter Mary (who would have been about 16 years old) does not appear in the household.
