ELEVENTH GENERATION(69a) his first wife was bedridden when they arrived in America and died in 1638; John was 57 years old. Within a year he married Racheal Wright of Roxbury and they proceeded to build a family. John was 63 years old when Racheal had the twins. Roxbury Church records indicate John died "an ancient godly christian, dyed of dead palsie". The widow received the homestead, located on Dorcester Road in Roxbury and valued at about 100 pounds, by act of General Court, 13 August 1648 (Boston Probate Records). He was married to Rachel WRIGHT * on 5 Jul 1639 in Roxbury, Suffolk Co., MA.
