In 1746 he moved his family to Old Simsbury, below Granby, Connecticutt, then from there to Green River, New York, on the border with Massachusetts. He died at the house of his son Jonah and was buried in the Old Calkins Burying Ground.

v. Levi PHELPS was born on 24 Nov 1749 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Source indicates Levi married Anna Pinney late in life (they had 1 child), and probably settled in East Windsor, CT. In 1776, Levi served during the Revolutionary War in Capt. Buttolph's Company, Col. Phelps 18th Regiment, and was stationed in New York.
David PHELPS (27b) was born on 11 Jul 1752 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He died on 20 Jun 1841 in Green River, Columbia Co., NY. David married Ruth Ward in 1773 (b. 1747, Salmon Brook, now Grandby, CT., d..26 May 1825, Austerlitz, NY, daughter of Gamaliel and Damaris (Holcomb) Ward). He married 2nd, Urania Webster who was killed by lightening on 2 August 1841, age 71. David settled in Grandby, Connecticut, but later moved to Green River, New York.
