Last Will & Testament
Wake County, NC, February 14, 1855

In the name of God Amen.

I, Simon K. Strickland, of the county of Wake, and state of North Carolina, being of sound mind and memory, though feeble in body, blessed be God, do make and publish this, my last will and testament in manner and form following, viz:

1. It is my will that all my just debts shall be paid
2. I give to my sister, ARABELLA STRICKLAND, all of any property of every description, including wagons, land, money, stock and household and ___ furniture and all of which I may die ______, unto her and heirs forever;
3. I hereby approve James R. Jefffreys Executor to this, my last will and testament.

In testimony whereof, I, hereunto set my hand and affix my seal, this the 14th day of February, 1855.


Signed, sealed and acknowledged in presence of us: W. Hustsfield, Jos Bullam Wake County, Court, November Term, 1855: The foregoing last will and testament of SIMON K. STRICKLAND, deceased, was exhibited in open court and proposed for probate and the executor thereof proven by the oath of W.
