Mary Strickland In the presence of God Amen. I, Mary Strickland, of the county of Wake, and state of North Carolina, being in perfect mind and memory, blessed by God, do, this twenty-second day of December, the year of our Lord, One thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Eight, make and publish this, my last will and testament in manner as follows: I commit my soul to Almighty God, my body to the dust, which it came to be interred in a decent manner. As for my estate, after paying all my just and lawful debts, I give as follows: First:
I give unto my daughter, ELIZABETH EARP, one dollar; The balance of my estate, I ------between my three youngest daughters, namely, PATIENCE, NANCY DIKE and CHINEY E.
