Britton Strickland In the name of God Amen---- : As it is appointed for all men to die and as I am weak in Body though sound in judgment I leave this my last will and testament, viz – Item – I leave and bequeath to my son BRITTON STRICKLAND the plantation whereon I now live and all the lands belonging there unto containing one hundred and fifty acres. I also leave to my son BRITTON STRICKLING one bed, bedstead and furniture also five head of hogs and one cow an calf likewise, one pot and one ax. Item - I leave and bequeath to my daughter MARY STRICKLAND one bed, bedstead and furniture also one loom and gears. Likewise one linen wheel and one skillet and all my cotton. All the rest of my estate I leave to be sold and the money equally divided between my sons and daughters. This I certify to be my Last Will and Testament signed in presence of us – January the 25 th day of 1807. his Signed, published and declared by the said Uriah Strickland, the testator as his last will and testament in the presence of us who were present at the time of signing and sealing thereof.
