Unusual Events

Here we will record some of the unusual events that have happened in the Stratfull / Stratful family.

Stratfull / Matten

Sometimes two families are joined by more than one relationship, this may be when two siblings from one family marry two siblings from another family. This has happened where two Stratfull sisters married two Matten brothers. Follow the link on the left or click Stratfull / Matten.

Stratfull / Horwood

Just to be really different the Stratfull and Horwood families where joined by three Stratfull brothers marrying three Horwood sisters. Follow the link on the left or click Stratfull / Horwood.

Edward Alfred Stratfull / Olive Beatrice Horwood

Edward (Ted) Stratfull and Olive Beatrice were the first of their two families to join in marriage. However, they divorced in about 1945, but re-married on 12 August 1949.

It was most fortunate that Ted & Olive did re-marry as it was during this marriage that Sheila (co-webmaster of this site) and her sister Penny were born. This second marriage was not to last as they separated by about 1966 - they did not divorce again.
