Hi! Was just googling addresses for my ancestors...and I
stumbled across this site..My great-great-great grandparents
lived at 28 Caledonian Road, Islington, London at the time of
the 1901 census! Just thought id share that! Good luck with the
rest of your ancestry hunt!

Hi to the Stratfuls
My grandmother was Minna or Minnie Stratful who married Sidney
Smith sometime either in the late 1800's or early 1900's. They
had two children my father Sidney and his sister Gladys. Sidney
died in about 1910 and Minna died in around 1924. My father went
into an orphanage (which may have been either in Aylesbury or
Wood Green) and Gladys went to relatives in Watford - Rose and
Walter Blades (I beleive that Rose may have been Minna's sister
- will be looking into this. Minna was lady in waiting to
Dame Nellie Melba and went to Paris with her around 1910 and I
have the cards she sent back to the children which are glorious.
Hope to find out more now that I am started.
I do remember that about 7 years ago we bought a family car from
Volvo in Hemel and there was a young man there with the name of
Stratful and I mentioned to him that my grandmother's name was
Stratful and he said his father was looking into his routes. I
know I have left this a long time but I now feel I should get
going so this is my first port of call.

i was made redundant 3yrs ago after working for 26yrs with
allders dept stores,so i thought that i would get a computor and
join the gang,i am finding it rather exiting,my next move is to
find my relatives in australia.iwould say what a superb job you
are doing keep it up david and miriam stratful.

June Marjorie Stratfull was my mother. I am the eldest of her
3 children. She passed away on July 19, 2007 in South San
Francisco, California. She schooled in San Francisco, graduating
from Balboa High School in 1944. She was voted class secretary
all 4 years. She married Paul Ernest Kaufmann in 1945. I was
born 11/19/48, Cathy Ann 5/24/51 and Barry Steven 11/18/52. We
were raised in South San Francisco. Our father passed on May 7,
2003 of cancer. I have resided in San Mateo, Ca for 30 years.
Cathy has lived in Silverton, Oregon for over 30 years and Barry
resides in Yuba City, Ca.. June had 7 grandchildren and 9 great
great grandchildren.

I am the eldest son of Doris stratful and Albert Matten, my
grandmother was zillah and jo stratful it would be good to get
in touch with my family via this website, i have 2 sons xerxes
matten and seth matten hope to hear from the family.

Pamela Gail Parodi(Stratfull), born Nov.1,1959 in Alameda,
California, did in fact marry Steven Parodi. She is a very dear
friend of mine. She is also the sister of a Richard Stratfull
born around 1957. Pamela is a wonderul friend, she works for
PG&E.

found your site thro contact @genes reunited. he gave much
information and refered me to your site.my g.grandmother was
esther stratfull, daughter of william 1818-1881.she was 2nd wife
to arthur nicholls-my grandmother(mary mabel may) was youngest
of 14(i think). she married charles batchelor & bore 12?
children.many have remained in england but there are branches in
usa,aus &nz. still researching and filling in details & would
like to thank you for your interesting site.

A superb site, congratulations! Thanks to you, I have been
able to go back a further two generations in the Hurndell family
tree. My ancestor, Joseph Hurndell, was Amelia (Hurndell)
Stratfull's brother. The photograph of Amelia is a real bonus as
there are no Hurndell photographs in our family beyond those of
my parent's generation - thank you. Keep up the good 'work'.
