Miss Washburn becomes bride of Alvin Youngs

Young Macomb Couple Married on Oct. 20 at Bride’s Home by the Rev. Stevens of that Village

Alvin Youngs and Miss Edna Washburn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Washburn, were married last Wednesday, Oct 20, at the home of the bride.  Only a few invited guests were present.  Rev. Stevens performed the ceremony.  They went to Utica on a wedding trip after which they will be at home to their many friends at the farm home of the bridegroom.  We extend congratulations and best wishes.

Rebekah Lodge Holds Election at Pope Mills

Jennie Mitchell is Selected as Noble Grand at Meeting on Tuesday Evening

The following officers were installed in the Autumn Rebekah Lodge, No 513, Tuesday night by the district officers from Gouverneur: Noble Grand, Jennie Mitchell; vice grand, Harriet Ward; recording secretary, Susie Bogart; financial secretary, Marian Sypher; treasurer, Inez Van Tassel; chaplain, Laura Crawford; R. S. to N. G., Andra Tully; L. S., to N. G., May Johnson; R. S. to V. G., Pauline Johnson; L. S. to V. G., Vera Johnson; conductor, Lois Downing; warden, Augusta Brown; outside guard, Stewart Mitchell; inside guard, Beatrice Parker; right scene supporter, Rebecca Lawyer; left scene supporter, Lucretia Pope; banner bearers, Marian Truax, Hannah Garvin, Alberta Mills and Marian HurstMrs. Florence Ames is the present Past Noble Grand.  Supper was served after the work and all enjoyed a pleasant evening.
