Inventory of Silas Wright cemetery - Canton, NY

In June 2007, I visited Silas Wright Cemetery in the town of Canton. The cemetery is in the village itself, at the intersection of Park and Miner Street.

I photographed and recorded the tombstones within the cemetery as well as I could. The data below consists of the inventory I developed during that visit merged with the inventory done in 1960 by Canton's Town Historian, Edward Heim. Also included are links to articles supplied by Connie Molnar Sterner.

When a picture is available, the name of the person will be 'clickable' to bring up the picture. All comments can be directed to Anne M. Cady

NOTE: The 1960 inventory included a very helpful map which can be accessed through the following Link: Map of Silas Wright Cemetery

The numbers shown on the map are included in the inventory below. Also, in the inventory, text shown in bold is corrected from the 1960 inventory or new graves not shown in the 1960 inventory; text in Italics is information or stones from 1960 that could not be found in 2007.

Created by Anne M. Cady, June 2007.
