Inventory of Purmort Cemetery, DePeyster NY

NOTE: The following is an update to a transcription of an inventory of Purmort Cemetery in DePeyster done by Mrs. Nina Smithers in the 1940's. I visited the cemetery again in July 2000 and updated the existing inventory and added pictures of the tombstones. Within each entry, any text contained in parenthesis was extra info included in the orginial inventory that was NOT obvious from looking at the stone. While I could not verify the accuracy of that data, I felt it added considerable value so I left it in. In general, if a picture is not shown for a stone, the stone was not found in 2000. There are a few exceptions where my camera hiccuped and didn't save the picture and those are noted in the text. All comments can be directed to Anne M. Cady
