The following biography is extracted from the “History of the North Country – A History embracing Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Oswego, Lewis and Franklin Counties, New York” by Harry F. Landon. This massive history consists of three large volumes with hundreds of short biographies. As time permits, I will be transcribing the entries with ties to Saint Lawrence County and putting them online.

He greatly improved the business and has established an excellent trade. Since 1929 he has owned the building in which his store is located.
In 1911 Mr. Craig was united in marriage with Miss Laura Gray, the daughter of William John and Margaret (Brown) Gray, of Lisbon. Both are deceased. To Mr. and Mrs. Craig have been born two children: Roger B., attends Hammond High School, member of the class of 1932; and Virginia L., a student.
