Henry Richards homestead the 160 acre farm in the early 1870's. In 1876 he was granted a deed to the land by the United States Government which was signed by President Ulysses S. Grant. The original deed is currently in the possession of Tom J. Vickerman, Sr.

In 1902, Henry Richards sold the farm to Thomas Jefferson Vickerman, who sold it to his son, Reuben John Vickerman, in 1908.

Tom John Vickerman, son of Reuben Vickerman, bought the farm from his father in 1948 and farmed the land until 1977.

Tom J. Vickerman, Jr. purchased the farm from his father in March of 1977 and currently resides there with his wife, Patricia, and children, Shannon and Joshua.

Shannon and joshua are the sixth generation of this family to live on the original farm homestead.

Thomas Jefferson Vickerman m. Mahala Stillson; and had children Nancy, Myrtle, Byrdene, Goldene, Perle, & Reuben;

Reuben m. Theresa Darling, and they had children Miles, Clifford, Ella, Howard & Tom;

Tom Vickerman m. Lucille Johnson, and had children Dorothy, Doris, Theresa and Tom, Jr. Vickerman and tom Jr. M. Patricia Green and they had 2 children Shannon & Joshua. Theresa Darlings parents are Abner Darling and Ella Richards.
