Son of John and Mary (Stroh) Stilson. Chief Petty Officer during WWII.

He was b. November 5, 1900 at Madison S.D. He married Edna Thompson at Madison on Sept. 14, 1966. He died March 5, 1988 at the Royal C. Johnson Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls at age 87. He served as CPO in the Navy during WW II and also in the Merchan Marine. He worked for Hulde Construction co. in Madison and moved to Sioux Falls in 1974.
