Benhart Stier

Benhart Stier was born in abt.1840 in Germany and died there. He married Rosalie Hoff in about 1864. She was born in about 1845 in Germany, and died there.

They had the following children:

1. Carl Benhart Heinrich Stier born 22 January 1865, Plauen, Germany.

Carl Benhart Heinrich Stier

Carl was born January 22, 1865 in Plauen, Germany, and died January 31, 1928 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was buried in St Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Link to obituary. He married Marie Behr in 1889 in Germany.  Marie was born October 31, 1867 in Mühltroff, Germany, and died March 20, 1940 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Her father was Wilhelm Friedrich Behr and her mother was Marie Borz. They had the following children:

1. Richard Behr

2. Marie Behr 1867-1940      She is buried in St Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Mt Prospect, IL.. Link to obituary.

3. Emma Behr 1870-      Emma Behr married Otto Stoeckel. He was born Aug 28, 1896 in Muhltruff, Germany.

Carl Stier (listed as Karl) arrived in Baltimore, Maryland in June 8, 1892. He left Bremen, Germany on the ship Karlsruhe. He listed Wisconsin as his final destination. His last residence is listed as Kemnitz. He is listed as 27, and occupation dyer. He is listed as bringing $10.00

Marie (listed as Mary) arrived in Philadelphia Dec 16, 1892 at the age of 25. She left Antwerp, Belgium,  her last place of residence listed as Muhltroft, Germany. She had Milwaukee listed as her destination. She came with her son Paul who was 1-1/2. The ship name was the Pennsylvania. She is listed as having one piece of baggage. microfilm roll  T840_17

They had the following children:

1. Paul Henry Stier born March 29, 1891 in Plauen or Chemnitz Germany. Died March 4, 1957 in Portland, OR.

2. Rose E Stier born January 26, 1893 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Died Sept 15, 1963 in Palatine, IL. She is buried in St Paul Cemetery, Mt Prospect, IL.

3. Alfred Oscar Stier born June 11, 1894 in Wisconsin. Died June 18, 1947, buried in St Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Mt Prospect, IL

4. Otto Stier born March 17, 1896 in Wisconsin. Died Oct 23, 1978 in Palatine.

Alfred O. Stier was born June 11, 1894 in Milwaukee County, WI, and died June 19, 1947 in Mt Prospect, IL. He married Laura Kirchhoff August 2, 1922. He is buried in St Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Laura Kirchhoff was born November 24, 1897 in Arlington Heights, IL, and died March 12, 1990 in Citrus Heights, CA. They had one son Alfred Charles Stier born May 22, 1923 in Mt Prospect, IL.

Alfred Stier was born May 22, 1923 and died March 18, 2000. He married Irene Verret who was born February 6, 1925 in Chicago, IL, and died December 12, 1990 in Walnut Creek, CA. Irene Stier was previously married and had one son. Alfred and Irene had the following children:

1. Daughter is married with 3 children.

2. Daughter is married with 2 children.
