She had a stright stem, two masts
and four funnels, was the first 4-funnel ship and
the fastest ship in the world at that
time. The ship was top-heavy and was known as "Rolling
Billy". The crew scuttled
her on August 26, 1914 after being damaged in a 90-minute
battle with the British
cruiser HMS Highflyer off Rio de Oro, Spanish West
Africa.

1,000 third class. Laid up in 1926; scrapped in Italy
in 1927.
