Francis Bernard Provost changed his name to Frank Bernard Provo, and
he married Jeannette Angeline Dufresne. She also went by various
names, all variants of Jeannette and Angeline. Frank's sister, Anne,
died and her daughter, Mabel Spotten, was raised by Frank and Jeannette.
She is listed with the family in the 1920 census. Frank was a paper
maker at a box and paper manufacturing company. Frank died in the
Veteran's Administration in the Bronx (there from 6-15-43 to 8-1-43) at
the age of 64 of hypertensive and coronary arteriosclerotic heart disease
with cardiac enlargement, myocardial damage and myocardial insufficiency;
contributory causes were chronic bronchitis and general arteriosclerosis.
He was a veteran of the Spanish American War and he was buried on 4 Aug
1943 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy, NY. Birth and death dates were
taken from his death certificate and the earlier information was taken
from Frank's own records at the hospital.

many ways. He could not be found in the census, and it's unclear
how many children they had, but John was a witness at Anna's marriage.
George was found in the census in Colonie. Anna was not to be found
for a birth in 1895. Her mother, Anna Maria Emmerich had four brothers:
Jacob 1859, Cristan 1863, Philip 1865, and George 1868. Her parents
were George and Catherine from Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany, they must have
immigrated before 1859.
