Nils Pettersson (Pil)'s Line 

Nils Petersson Pil married Johanna Dahlström, both born in Färnebo, and they had three children and lived in Karskohagen in Horssjöhyttan in 1890 (old spelling was Horrsjöhyttan, Fernebo, Wermland), except for Beda/Bessie.  (Bessie had photos of her father, a brother, and a sister named Anna.  I believe these photos are accurate, the brother looking nearly exactly like Bessie's great grandson, Shawn Carson.)  The 1920 census listed no immigration date for Bessie, but the 1900 census had her as being married seven years and immigrating in 1894.  A Beda Petersson immigrated on 11 May 1894 from Färnebo parish (surrounds Filipstad) to Denver, Colorado.  Oliver seems to have met Bessie in Colorado.  Christy Boughan had on a slip of paper a quick note written by Effie Alleen Ryden (Lester's wife):  "Nils Petersson, Johanna Dahlström, Bessie's Parents."  The 1890 census had all of these guys in Horrsjöhyttan in Färnebo, except for Beda. (Nils was a Bergman, a Miner.) A Beda Nilsdotter, born in 1873, was in Kristinehamns parish (the only one) on 7:de Qvarteret Nedre Jernvägsstation.  She was a maid to Erik Gustaf Rådberg and Laura Nordernberg .  Erik was a photographer, and hence the photos of her family.

The Färnebo HFL 1891-5 of Horssjöhyttan lists this family with birth, confirmation, marriage, and immigration dates.  Anna was confirmed in Gåsborn in 1894.  Beda is crossed out because she left for Nyed on 23 June 1893 and then she is listed under Bortflyttad as bound for N. Amerika on 4 May 1894.  Curiously, Nils is written "Nils Petersson (Pil)" with the Pil crossed out.  One of Bessie's female cousins did take the name of Pil as her maiden name.

Karskohagen stands today (2001) and was purchased by Nils from his brother, Carl Pettersson, and he had purchased it from Sven Svensson.  Nils passed the house on to Knut who passed it on to his son, Ivar.
 

This family stayed in Färnebo, and most in Horssjöhyttan.  Those in Horrsjöhyttan seem to have taken the name of "Pil," which means arrow.  I wonder if there was a soldier in the family that started this?  Petter Svensson did not appear to have taken that name.  Nils only carried it for awhile, maybe because his wife had one?
 

Rämmen was part of Gåsborn not long before Mathias was born, I have not discovered exactly where he was born yet.  Rämmen was also known as Räm, Rämen, and Näsrämen.  Mathias married Catrina (her name is spelled differently every time I see it) in Gåsborn on 2 Oct 1820, this was recorded on the internet, and I need to discover by whom!  They had their first two children in Rämmen and then moved to Långbanshyttan, Färnebo (which is a name VERY similar to the name of the farm Catrina was from in Gåsborn).  Johanna and Karl Peter both moved to Horssjöhyttan.
 

Brita was born in Horrsjon, Färnebo to Matts Gustafsson and Stina Jonsdotter.  The oldest child was Maria, then Brita, and then Lars.
 

Sone Andersson had two wives.  He married his first wife before 1780 and had four children.  His second wife was Catharina Jonsdotter and he had four children with her.  In 1789 on the family was at Långbansändehyttan, Gåsborn.  It  looks like Catrina may have been born in Åsarna, Gåsborn.  Two daughters left for Långbanshyttan, Färnebo.
