Hill Photo Gallery

Jacob Jonasson had two sons who lived to adulthood, Jonas and Sven. Jonas had nine children, seven of which had children, one being Olof who came to America and became Oliver Edward Ryden. Sven Jacobsson married Elin Samuelsdotter in Vislanda and had eleven children who lived to adulthood. All of these left for America, but not together. They took the surname Hill, and changed their Swedish names for more American ones. The photo of Sven and Elin is supposed to be at their wedding in 1860, but that's a bit early for photography and I don't think Elin is 20 in the photo. Possibly this is an older photo of them, or someone else's wedding altogether.
