Immigration: In dismissal from Prussian citizenship. Paper sent to Royal Government in Stettin. From Greifenhagan. No property. Steinke got a free ticket from his brother-in-law for the boat transfer to North America. Dated 4-4-1887.

ADDITIONAL NOTES: General: Steinke families lived mainly in the regions called Posen (now Poznan) and Pomerania. From ther, a lot moved to Poland and Russia. The town Wildenbruch was in the county of Greifenhagen in Pomerania. Today it is in Poland and the name is Swobnica (Greifenhagen is now Gryfino).
