drinks, and ice cream
This year, the Registration Table has been eliminated. Each table will be
provided with their own sign-in sheet and nametags. This will eliminate the long
and annoying waiting line when you enter the building. Please sign in! This is
very important! It allows us to know who attended and adds History to our
Official Reunion Record. Please use the nametags provided. There were many new
faces last year and the nametags were a tremendous help providing recognition.
Bingo will be provided, as well as other games for adults. Children will
participate in fun activities, and will surely make some new friends.
Unfortunately, we are limited on our teenage activities. This center does not
provide basketball courts, etc. for this age group. There is a grassy area, to
the side of the center, so if weather permits, volleyball will be provided. If
you have a teenager, and he or she wants to provide an additional activity, this
will be very much appreciated. Everyone's favorite Raffle will be held again
this year. This is our biggest reunion fundraiser, and we need your help. Any
donated raffle item you can provide would be great! Items homemade by family
members are always a hit! We are also seeking a "main attraction" item
to draw lots of interest, so let us know if you can help. Some of our raffle
items this year will be: a 1954 Topps Ken Raffensberger baseball card (Ken is
one of our cousins), 2 ceramic children's banks, hand stamped greeting cards,
and much more.
We know you may be unable to attend this great event, but your help is still
needed. If you would like to make a donation to assure the future of this
reunion, please do so by sending it to the address below. Any help you can give
is greatly appreciated.
MESSAGE: In order to make proper arrangements, we would like an estimated count
of how many adults and children will be in attendance. Please contact one of the
Reunion Officers listed below with the number of people in your party and the
ages of all children that will be with you. You may also contact us if you no
longer want to be contacted about future reunions. Please tell other family
members about this event, and let us know if we may have missed someone. Thank
you so much, and we hope to see you at the reunion!
FAMILY HISTORY PROJECT
REUNION: Every year, this great reunion has a
display where we can show many items related to our family’s history.
There are many different types of items we display, including photos,
documents, family made items, family stories, etc. This year, we ask for
you to share some of your family treasures as well.
Items brought for display will be placed on tables for
everyone to view. It is asked that you identify your offerings with
your name, so they can be returned to you at the end of the reunion.
If you will be bringing photos or documents to share, you may want
to consider bring photocopies and not the originals.
RESEARCH: Without the generous offerings
of others, my research would not be what it is today. I feel it can be
used as a great resource for others wishing to research this family. You
can help me, by supplying information about your family. This helps me
to identify incorrect information, as well as keep my records up to
date. Please note that my research is not sold, and is merely shared
with others who are interested.
a variety of items that I am seeking for my research. These items
include photos, old family documents (i.e. wills, deeds, birth,
death, and baptismal certificates), newspaper clippings, etc. These
do not have to be originals, and can be good quality copies. I have
the capability to scan items on my computer, and will also be glad
to photocopy items and return to you promptly.
I am also
seeking family information to include in my records. I am seeking
information on your grandparents, parents, siblings, children,
aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Information I am seeking is dates and
places of birth, death, marriage, baptism, burial, etc.
Thank you so
much for your assistance. Your help is greatly appreciated, and will
make this project valuable to family members for generations to come.
Please contact me with any questions you might have.
