Statler Tavern
Shade Twp, Somerset Co., PA

This was the first tavern in Shade Township.
Years later, when the Pennsylvania Turnpike was constructed, this tavern became a noted place.
It was located on the old Stoy farm, one mile east of Reel's Corners on the Lincoln Highway.
