EDWIN DENNIS TODD, 91 , DIES AT WAKEMAN HOME

WAKEMAN, Jan. 30- (Special)- Edwin Dennis Todd. 91, the oldest resident of Wakeman-tp, died in his home here yesterday after a lingering illness.

A lifelong resident of this section. Mr. Todd was born at Todd's Corner, two miles southeast of Wakeman, Dec. 20, 1841. He was a son of George and Betsy Pierpont Todd, pioneer settlers from Connecticut. They landed at Huron in 1837 and spent their first winter in the Western Reserve at the home of an uncle in Vermillon. In 1808, they settled on a farm at Todd's Corner where Edwin Dennis was born.

He was married to Miss Amelia Arabelle Bates on Nov. 25, 1869, and in 1906, after the death of his wife, Todd moved from his farm to the edge of the village, where he spent the remainder of his life.

Recognized for some time as the oldest life-long resident of Wakeman-tp, Mr. Todd was regarded as a progressive and intelligent farmer.

Funeral services will be conducted at the late residence Tuesday afternoon at two thirty o'clock.
