Niehaus, Catherine (nee Hales)

STOW, Ohio -  Catherine (Hales) Niehaus, 83, Stow, formerly of Breckenridge, Mo., died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at a hospital in Akron, Ohio.

Born in Braley, Mo., on March 24, 1915, Mrs. Niehaus was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hamilton, Mo., where she was active in the Alter Society; Grandview Extension Club and Breckenridge American Legion Auxiliary.

On April 14, 1942, she married Theodore J. Niehaus in Chillicothe, Mo.  He died in 1985.

Mrs. Niehaus also was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Agnes Hales; and six brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.

Surviving:  a son, Gary D., Kent, Ohio;  a daughter, Mardeena K. Gordon, Katy, Texas;  and six grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial:  11 a.m. today, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hamilton.
Burial:  Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge.  Arrangements:  Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge.
