Merrill, Mary Ruth (nee Hales)
1911 - 1987
Last rites were held Friday for Mary Ruth (nee Hales), 75 who died Oct. 20 at Wellington
Community Hospital. She had been ill a week.
Born in Camden Township, she had been a life-long area resident and resided at Heritage Square Apartments. A nurse's aide, she worked for many years at Tressie's Nursing Home in Oberlin and at Wellington Manor Nursing Home.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Jean) Hartman of Wellington and Mrs. Edwin (Bernita) Hurst of Pittsfield; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Harold (Lucy) Neal in West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner, in 1964.
Services were held at the Cowling-Truman Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Sawdey officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
