Hales, Ross Owen
Ross O. Hales, 89, of Gore-Orphanage Road, Wakeman, a retired farmer, was pronounced dead
at Oberlin Allen Memorial Hospital yesterday after being stricken with a heart attack in
his home.
An area resident all of his life, Mr. Hales was born in Camden Township. He was a member of Macabee Lodge.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Gilbert, with whom he made his home, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His wife, Anna who died in 1967, and two brothers, Norris and Vernon, preceded him in death.
Friends will be received in the Gerber Funeral Home, Wakeman, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Leah Matthews, Kipton Community Church, officating. Burial will be in Camden Cemetery.
