Hales, James Clinton

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary for James C. Hales,
81, 124 N. Quinton, who died a few minutes after arrival at a Topeka hospital Friday
morning. He had a heart ailment.
He was born Feb. 17, 1890, in Missouri and lived at Severy in Greenwood County before he
moved to Topeka 58 years ago. He was a carpenter before he retired.
He was married to Marie Martin in 1915 in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Eugene Hales, 2026 Randolph, and Donald Hales, 2441 W. 24th; and seven grandchildren.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. John Gillesse,
Potwin United Presbyterian Church, officiating.
