Hales, Isabella (nee Bogart)
Funeral services will be at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Fleeman chapel, Dr. C.M. Clilton officiating. Burial will be in Perrin Cemetery, The body is at the family home 2603 Monterey street and will be taken to the mortuary in time for the services.
Mrs. Hales died Monday morning at her home at the age of 93 years. She was born in Vermillion County, Ind., Sept. 25,1851 , and in the spring of 1868 came with her family by wagon to settle on a farm in Clinton County, MO.
Born Isabella Bogart, she married William Hales in 1872. The couple moved to St. Joseph in 1901.
Surviving are six daughter, Miss Rose Hales, R.N.; Miss Lorena Hales, R.N.; Miss Pearl Hales, all of St. Joseph , Mrs. Leone Smith Denver Colorado, Mrs. James H. Goodwin, Los Angeles, and Miss. Mary J. Hales, R.N. St. Louis; a son Will A. Hales, San Diego; a sister Mrs. Fannie B. Vanator, Perrin, Mo.; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
